Dr. Holly Robert's book "Vegetarian Christian Saints" has 150 Saints who refused to eat animals (most it seemed were vegan if not all).
It would be wonderful if we were all kind to all beings. Kindness is a fruit of the Spirit.

I've got to get her book! I didn't know that so many saints were vegetarian or vegan. Looks like I'm in good company. Thanx for sharing this tidbit.

Itotally agree with you concerning kindness,if we could be kind to all ,the bible says to do good to thoes who do evil to you, we must have the wisdom of god to accomplish this, also his strenth and love.to be kind and to be pleasant, we must know where there is good evil is present, we must understand where he comes and what he is here to accomplish, so through understanding being kind is easy to do. I empathize with the cost of homeowners insurance. My house also appreciated in value, thereby increasing the annual premium. When I called, I was told the increase was due to my house having wood siding. Not only am I being punished by having to paint the darn thing, now I have to pay extra for the privilege. I should have reviewed the kindness pledge before picking up the telephone. BJ

BJ - Your comment about your house insurance made me laugh heartily. Those insurance companies get us whichever way we go - don't they. I too caught myself violating the kindness pledge as soon as I posted!
