Don't worry, the dandelions will come back. Rocks and even Bermuda grass can't get rid of God's lovely flowers. I have made dandelion wine from them & paid the grandkids a penny a flower to slow down their spread in my yard as the neighbors don't like my seeds blowing into their yards. Thanks for a good story. As ever, Gail

I read through eyes blurred by tears. The walk through the house reminded me of my first visit to my mother's house after she passed away. Very well written, as usual. BJ

Sweet, sweet memories here, yet tinged with sadness. It seems the older we get, the more we cherish the people and the houses and times of our youth. Bob Hope's special song, "Thanks for the Memories" comes to mind. Besides liking the story here, I especially liked the technique you used for this Prose Poem and threading the Lion's Tooth Soup throughout. Very nicely done. It brought tears to my eyes and a lump to my throat as I read.

A wonderful trip down memory lane, with a touch of sadness.
