Hi Tom,

Liked your essay about the heroes of our youth. You might like to read something I wrote along a similar vein. Check it out at http://www.ourecho.com/story-2486-Movies-and-Me.shtml here at OurEcho. I think you can find it by putting Story #2486 in the search box at top of home page, too. If you're interested, that is. My husband hasn't gone to a movie since John Wayne died, and I've been to a precious few.

We all need heros. You've mentioned some greats here. Nicely done, Tom. John Wayne is one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing. Janet

Hi Tom,
What would we do, where would we be, if we had no heroes whatsoever to emulate and remember? It was refreshing to read your list and see several familiar names, and my guess is that we all have a list in our heads if not down on paper.
Blessings,
Sandi in FL.
