Good for you, BJ! It's always amazing when we do something we didn't know we could do! My husband of 17 years spent most of our years together telling me I couldn't do this or that. Little did he know, that molded me into the determined, can-do woman that I became, and was able to walk away from him and forge a wonderful life of my own. Thanks for sharing, and inspiring all of us that it's never too late to do, to be, all that we can. Carol

I believe that if a person has faith in themselves, they can accomplish whatever they set out to do. Your experience proves it.

Congratulations on making your life your own! Your children will learn from you that life is what you make it and that you can do anything if you set your mind to it.

What an inspiring story yours is, and what a marvelous example you set for your children BJ. Too many people don't follow their dreams. It takes courage to do it, and the older we are when we do it, the harder it is. I'm happy for you that you followed a dream and are living a happier life now.

Great story, Roan.
Strong message
A bad situation turned good.

I stayed in a bad marriage for a long
time. I figured I made a commitment and stuck with it.

When she died from alcohol abuse, I met a lady whose husband died of the same.
Now we have the dream relationship we always wanted.

You did the right thing. You saw a new life and grabbed it.

You can be proud.
Mike

How I admire your grit and patience, for few have accomplished your goals. You deserve a gold star, BJ, for I can't even imagine the task you bore with roadblocks around every corner. My happiness be yours, and keep the good stories coming, for you do them well. Kathe

I would like to thank everyone for their kind words. I don't like to dwell on the bad times, but life is often difficult. Fortunately, there is often a rose on the other side of the thorns. BJ

More power to you BJ, you gained confidence and got the courage to walk away. No person should have the right to underestimate the strength of anothers mind. I loved this story for it brought out your true determination and desire to fulfil your dreams. Congratulations and well done. Kathleen

Thank you for your comments. Looking back, I wonder how I managed to find the courage to stand up to my then husband. It wasn't easy, but those hard times made me the person I am today, and for that I'm grateful.
