I will allways remember the day Kennedy was shot, as if it were yesterday. I will never forget. Where I was and what I was doing. Never forget.

Interesting story. I was in Presidential Security when President Kennedy was killed and when Lynden Johnson became President. Making people wait was a habit with him. Someimes for many hours at a time. Especially members of the military.

We may have both been in Phoneix that same day in November 1964.

Two of my cousins that were born and raised around Blanco, Johnson City and Round Mountain were friends of LBJ. When he became president he had them hired into his personal guard/attendant group. When questioned about them by the media he said it took a crook to spot a crook so he wanted to be double sure he had professionals. On TV too.
They were known for poaching fish and wildlife as well as loving beer, lots of it, just like LBJ.
Another family members ranch, the Sultemiers, is adjacent to the LBJ ranch park.
