I was born in the 40s, but didn't come into the music age till the late 50s early 60s, but I still remember Bing. Thanks for the memories.

Thank you. Isn't it revealing of his special status that we refer to him as "Bing." Frank Sinatra, for instance, was of course a great singer and actor too, but he's Sinatra to most people, not Frank (or Frankie, as he was known in his days as a teenagers' heart throb).

Bing Crosby went back a long time ago. I remember as a kid having a pet turtle with Bing Crosby painted on his back. He had one of the smoothest voices ever. I think Elvis Presley together with a younger generation is what cause so many to forget him, but I am among those who remembers him well.

Musical styles change, for sure, but as you say the great ones remain great through it all.

As you say there are so many unforgettable memories of Bing's songs and movies. we'll just say he was a favorite of my generation as well as all of our six kids. Gail

Dick, My own personal favorites are his duet with Princess Grace, "True Love", and the number he did with his son, "Sam's Song". He was truly an "all time great". You have brought back many memories with your portrayal, thanks.
