Dear Gail,

It seems you've fulfilled your mother's dream. What better gift could you have ever given her?

Gail....What a shame both you and your mother had such little confidence in family reactions that prevented the two of you becoming a famous writing team. Oh to dream what might have been. $15 in those days was a good sum. By the way, I was born Sept. 14, am 73 and just know we would hit it off. My mother was a Kansas girl. Her father worked for Standard Oil.
If you need any paintings of old prairie homesteads, let me know. I have a few.
