You know how No 9 has always fascinated me. I had wondered what happened to her. Thanks for the update. Please keep her saga going. Wanda West

Now that was an interesting post to say the least. Kept me mesmerised. Who knew wolves lived such lives? I really enjoyed this, and learned a lot. Thank you Kathe.

Kathe, I read every word, and I learned more about wolves than I ever knew before. I knew that they are very family oriented, but their social behaviors are more intricate than I imagined. Great story as always....Barbara

Kathe, I read another story about No.9 you did earlier. I fell in love & respected her then, but this story I welcomed w/such emotion to hear about this "grand lady" w/such a hard life. I'm in awe of No.9 and her life. Only you can tell it with such glory and honor Kathe!

Excellent article Kathe. You've inspired me to find a book on wolves at our local bookery and do a bit of research.

Hi Kathe:
The wolves are like us Canajuns! Ya just don't understand us totally without research but ya gotta love us!!*lol*
I have a friend in the Navy who is now in Malta. I must send him this as he is so fascinated with wolves he will love it. Good job once again.
PS: I love the eyes of a wolf-they are enchanting!!
Bonnie.

Kathe, I enjoyed your story about the wolves of Yellowstone.

I spent a year at a Coast Guard station on Unimak Island, Alaska, at that time a wildlife preserve. Fish and Wildlilfe rangers told us there were wolves on the island but I only saw one, a half-second glimpse. We did check out the tracks. They were very good at staying away from humans.
