A good submission for the holiday story, Kath. I have seen it before but enjoyed it all over again.

Kathe,

Christmas and a puppy, two perfect subjects for this time of year. Give me a dog story and you have me hooked! Thanks Kathe.

Well, Kathe, hits me hard but in good way, since had to 'put to sleep' a good friend for first time.. (right before T'giving, too).
Keep on sharing; no one does it better!!

Kathe - I must say, this is also my favorite of your Christmas stories. As you would say, "It's a definite keeper."

Hi Kathe,
What a delightful and heartwarming doggie tale. Even though I'm more of a cat lover, I do savor any and all stories writen by you, and this one is special.
Christmas blessings,
Sandi in FL.

A Christmas to remember for sure - talk about a roller-coaster ride of emotions and you painted them with your words. Beautifully done, Kathe.

I'm sorry to read about your dogs, Kathe. It's great that you have found joy in another.

Kathe:
I've always had dogs or cats in my life and can relate to the loss you suffered. However, falling down is no shame, the shame lies in not getting back up!!
And it is apparent to all that you GOT BACK UP--and more.

Kathe, You did it again! Brought tears to the eyes of an 'oldie'. Have missed you and your stories as I fight with a new computer and new address. Hope this Christmas was an easier one for you. Our small house was filled w/15 adults for dinner. Hadn't done the hosting for 20 yrs. This was my swan song. Jo Doofe

I just gave Willie hugs and pets after reading Suzana's piece about Chainey, now I'm off to give him some more. I can't imagine the pain I will feel when I have to say goodbye to my Willie, as I know I must some day. BJ

You're absolutely right, it's one of the most agonizing experiences I know, and I've known a few. We've give them good homes and happy days for the most part and that's what counts. Not 24 hrs. has ever passed but what we've ordered or brought home another friend to lighten the load. It's always worked. K

I'm re-reading your more recent stories, hoping to find a way to contact you. I'd forgotten about your Keesha. What a gift! I think your Ken must have nearly always known just what would please you.
