Good for you for even trying to fit into this 21st century technology. Can be pretty frustrating, can't it? But inch by inch, we'll conquer these techno items, I bet. Your musing gave me a chuckle.

You have more fortitude than I. I got a pair of cell phones for us more than a month ago, and neither of us have figured out just how they work. I have managed to place two calls and have received about four so far. It keeps making beep noises and I don't know what they mean or how to stop them. I keep pushing on the touch screen until it stops.

One of my 1st calls went accidently to 911 when I laid my purse down and the weight of it dialed the numbers. I got a call back asking did I need help.

Enjoyed your story. Your experience sounds like mine in installing an anti-viris program when I went to high-speed internet service.

For our cell phone, we let the Verizon office do all the work, except installing phone numbers for the auto dial. Painless.

Good story. I remember the first cell phone they gave me where I worked. I lost it on purpose afer the first week. Now I deal with one in Spanish here in Mexico. At least the numbers on the keyboard are the same.

Very cute. It reminds me of my parents. Or my grandmother - google is utterly foreign to her!

Ditto! That familiar flair of frustration came back while reading about your similar experience. Where has customer service gone? BJ

It's been outsourced, that's where! and companies are so big, they no longer subscribe to "customer is king"!
