I know that there are many people who have this kind of mentality. Knowing they are like that frightens me.

My gift-giving is usually found for the special people on my list now & then through the whole year. Sure glad I didn't need something today that I just had to have that would take me out in that maelstrom. Pure madness! Gail

Gail,
I took my wife to Kohls here in Chandler AZ about 10 yesterday morning. Parking lot almost full. Store very full. Found what we went for--about $14 worth. The end of the line for the cash registers wound around about 200 feet through the store. While I stood in line my wife found another $100 of goods. Now I know why they call it "Black Friday."

Took me in line and sinker. Shoppers- the worst kind. Made me want a cylinder too. Thanks,

You've done it again, held me riveted to your story until the very last word. Congrats on your terrific writing style that describes everything just so, putting the reader smack dab in the middle of the scene. ~ Susan
