As far as I know, the incident was never mentioned again by anyone - at least not while Mom was still alive.

Yes, I guess Gypsie's trick put a slight dent in both yours and the preacher's afternoon, but I'm still laughing. Way back when I was adopted, the preacher called on my folks just as my father's homemade brew started exploding in the basement. They couldn't blame that one on me, thank goodness.......Kathe

Funny story! Gypsy sounds like my kind of dog.

I've had to be careful when swimming in our backyard pool because if I splashed around too much my dog Trooper would jump in to try & save me. Nearly landing on my head once or twice.

That was so funny, I also would have loved to been a fly on the wall in the car as they were going home. Smart dog.
