Prayer is a powerful force that we usually don't realize. The prayers of a child, innocent and believing are probably more powerful than ours. Jesus said, "only when you become as little children may you enter into the kingdom of Heaven." I think he meant the innocence and the trust and belief of a child.

What a wonderful inspirational story. You caught my interest right away, held it with your use of discription and emotion, and then kept me till the end, as I had to know what became of Blackie!

I have no problem with this story at all. Good to the heart writing.
Thanks for sharing.

Prayers that are answered for children especially are the dearest ones. Sounds to me like your Blackie had a loving nature toward the lonely widows and I'm thnking the good Lord knew that....Kathe

Thanks, Michael, for sharing this story. Well written, kept our interest to the end. Our pets enrich our lives beyond measure, giving us their all. Would that all peoples could be as loving and loyal. Carol
