Oh my, Ginger, this fair takes my breath away! Love the title, love the photos, and the verse is truly delightful. It has a unique, extraordinary, litany. I feel like I've been on the road! Carol

Very nice, Virginia. I've traveled through all those same places that you mention in this posting, but I enjoyed seeing them through your eyes. A real feeling of coming home as you get to Kansas. Nice pictures, as well.

Ginger, I liked this poem A LOT! You really developed the sense of coming home through each verse and certainly captured the feel of a road trip with the road signs and sights blurring past your car window.

Writing is a fever-sharing one's thoughts with others like a diary in verse form. The words strike a cord of memories and the melody rings forth.

Carol, Nancy, Gail, Karen, and Cindy - I thank you for your kind words. You are people whose opinions I value, so your encouragement is just what I need to keep me writing.
I have only a vague idea of poetic structure. I may have to take a poetry class if I keep coming up with things I want to write as poems.
