You're so right, no silly grapple could ever replace the fun and sweet friendship with those we cherish. I'm sure your anchorman will undergo much taunting forevermore. Wish I'd been there to share in the laughter.

Do hope you're recovering well from the accident in which you totaled your car, Bonnie........Kathe

This is such a funny story, I am sure I would have laughed if I had been there!!! I also love the powerful question the story brings to mind, will my anchor hold me during all the storms in my life?? I believe it will!!! love, Bertha

A story to bring laughter to the reader but also a profound question to ponder. A nice contrast of the two sides of the coin. Lovely pictures, too.

Bonnie, your story reminds me of another old hymn as well.

I've Anchored in Jesus, The storms of life I'll brave,
I've anchored in Jesus, I fear no wind or wave,
I've anchored in Jesus, for He hath pow'r to save,
I've anchored to the rock of ages.

Bonnie, this kindly old gentleman was put in your path for a reason. Do you believe in angels? Yes, of course you do.
I will say no more.

God bless.
Paul

P.S. That was a hilariously funny story though. No doubt that will be a story passed down for years to come.
