I am glad you wrote this memory piece to be included in your family history, Carol. Too often, those who write about the past only want to tell about the happy times, but the other things that happened to us that weren't so happy are all part of what made us the people we are today. And added to the kind of family you have, as well. Nicely done.

I applaud you. Were I in your shoes in the 60's, I too would have welcomed color into my life. It's what cultivates and enriches us, and you recognized that without even a second thought. Kudos to you and your well written adventure. Kathe
