Simply delightful, funny, and very enlightening - IRISH SPRING? Who knew? Great story, Kathe and such fun reading it.

Oh my Kathe, you weren't kidding when you said you had something you weren't sharing until it was posted! What a hoot! Who would have thunk it?? Loved your ending too, I laughed out loud. Better stay living right where you are, as your stories are an endless source of entertainment for me, and everyone else. Irish Spring? And I like it too!

This one was worth several giggles and even a snort or two! I've heard of using Irish Spring to keep rodents from eating plants in the garden, but never as a mouse-inhibitor! I'll try it. We haven't had mice in the house, but they inhabit the garage and our storage shed. Thanks for the tip!!! Jo

Kathe - Your sage advice about Irish Spring soap bars will certainly get a work out around our home. We'll be purchasing a large quantity of it first thing in the morning. Fall weather certainly seems to encourage unwanted guests. Very entertaining story.

Kath, what an interesting, informative
piece...humorous, too. We often have little pesky mice sneak into our old house (built 1864) in the winter. I will be stocking up on Irish Spring for the varmits. I can't wash with it myself as I am allergic to it. Maybe the mice are, too. I'll let you know if it works. Nothing worse than cleaning up after gnawing, poop dropping mice.

A story full of laughs and I love that kind. I have had similar problems in the past from chipmunks instead of mice. They used to fill up the air fiter and intake hoses with the contents of the bird feeders. If we didn't have fuel injectors now, they are sure to have filled the carburetor too. I don't have a mouse problem, probably because I have over forty cats. It is good to know about Irish Spring and Juicy fruit. I'm also familiar with those side by side pickup conversations too.

Who'd a thunk? Silly mice are missing something with the clean, lovely scent of Irish Spring. How soon will we see their new commercial? Surely they'll pick up on this. You must send them the story.

Kathe,
Your story was well written, informative and entertaining. Now, do you have any ideas on how to keep ticks off dogs? The flea collars and applications help keep the ticks from latching onto the dog, but when the critters decide the dog is not a good host, they abandon ship in the house or the RV. Also I suspect the chemicals may be harmful to the dog's health. Jim

Thanx for your nice comment. Neither me or my dogs have never had a tick problem in our Montana mountains, not saying it isn't possible of course. Wish I could be helpful, but you might consult the internet or your vet. K

Kathe dear,
Another humorous tale from you endless storehouse of funnies! I agree with Nancy that you should send this story to the makers of Irish Spring. Someone else who commented said they're allergic to the soap, and so am I. It makes me break out in patches of painful, red whelps that itch like crazy and are the dickens to get rid of! I hope it has the same effect on those mice at your abode!
Blessings,
Sandi in FL.

Week #2 and still no mouse turds in drawers, cupboards, or anywhere else. I don't know if it's the smell or what, but it's nice to be able to open my bread drawer without seeing tell-tale hoes in my bread and cookie wrappers. As always - thanx for your wonderful comments...Kathe
