Interesting information about coloring eggs before the "coloring kits" came to be! Something I'd never given a thought to in my life. Thank you!

You carried over that rule about only hiding the eggs once when you were raising us kids, too! They became part of our special Easter feast that day.

I enjoyed hearing you read your story as I closed my eyes, sat back in my chair and listened. The "old-fashioned" process of dyeing eggs is one that we used to do when I was a young child during the early 1950s, then the colored dye kits came on the market. That was as much fun for us children as hiding & hunting the eggs! Thanks for the memories.
