I am so thrilled to have found this site. I just read Salvatore Taranto, The Hero of Cefalu and I thought I would die with laughter! Who is this writer and why haven't I seen him in bookstores?
I'm looking forward to more stories by this fellow.

Just click on his name and read his other stories. They are all good. Gail

John,
Once again you have split my sides with laughter. This could easily become habit forming.

Congratulations John for being the October winner, you just naturally had to be a winner after tickling the funny-bones of Liz, Nancy, Fred and me. Keep it up, Gail

Thank you all for your kind words. It's fun to remember the stories my Grandpa told me... I wish you could hear it in his accent.

Fantastic! I laughed out loud; I learned some Italian, some history, and some Italian history; what more do I need?

Salvatore and the plank-bearers had me literally howling with laughter. Another great story and such a handsome, dashing man in uniform your grandfather was.
I keep thinking that I'll save the rest of your stories for another day, then I cannot resist, so I click onto another one. I could read for hours at your site!
