here's a comment from my friend, Theresa, sent by email:
"What a lovely poem, thanks. Indeed, you have been inspired by all the beauty around us and were able to put it into thoughtful words. I enjoyed it so much and it made me realize just how lucky we are to be here. Very, very nice!"

Loved the poem and the photos! Thanks for sharing your summer in the New Hampshire woods with us. I can just imagine your excitement when you return next summer!

This is truly delightful! Magnificent photos, along with a darling poem. We should all do a poem or prose of what makes us happy----such a rewarding introspection. Carol

OK, Carol, I really would like to see your happy poem. Maybe we can start a trend, lots of happy poems on Our Echo.

Hi Virginia, I love Maine for all the reasons you express in your poem. WE moved here in 1979 from New Jersey after spending thirteen summer vacations in the Norway and South Paris area of Maine.

I do miss striped bass fishing at Sea Bright, N.J., but I'm in an area where clear lakes and ponds sparkle like ornaments on that giant green Chrismas tree we call Maine. I love it.
God Bless.
Tom
