What a delight, Nancy. You and I seem to be a part of the last generation to have the privilege and joy of shopping at a Marshall-Fields or a Frederick and Nelson with their lavish and bountiful everyday living displays. My grandchildren could never imagine what those days were like for us. Everything one's heart could possibly desire, all in one huge store - pure magic. I'm so happy your memoiries are holding tight to those awesome holiday displays, for many was the time my family liked to just stroll the Seattle avenues to see the window displays. Frederick and Nelson is still there, but oh my, too many changes for this old soul.
Favor us again soon.

Wonderful memories! What's the deal with Macy's - they're buying up everything. In fact, they just purchased my favorite dept. chain in Texas and I don't like the changes I'm seeing. Neither do my friends and we swear we're going to cut up our charge cards when they send out the new ones with Macy's name on it!
