I remember my Dad talking about picking Partridgeberries for hours on end,and how his mother baked so many things with them, so they must have been plentiful in Baine Harbour, down in Placentia Bay at one time too.

How about eating a few of those partridgeberry muffins for me, I'm glad that you are not stressing out about where to find them this year.I'm sure that Himself will enjoy them too!!!! :>) Bertha

They're oh so beautiful and remind me of the cranberries I so love, but you'll not be findin' me picking a bucket anytime soon. I do have a sneaky feeling your partridgeberries were darn expensive at the market. Good story as always.....Kathe

Wow! I came across this posting as I was feeding some of my *well-liked* work mates some partridgeberry loaf. Then I went online to find something to explain these beautiful berries! Thanks - from a former Foxtrap, NL native, now living in Louisville, Kentucky.
