I would love to visit the Steinbeck Center. Could probably spend many happy hours there.

When the billboards advertised Steinbeck's great works (incl. East of Eden) we always knew the movies would be superb, and they were. To this day I never tire of Steinbeck's cinema encores....Kathe

Couldn't agree with you more on Steinbeck-based films. Rarely, if ever, have I seen films based on great books that, like those based on Steinbeck works, are as great as the books and that so accurately and artisically translate the printed pages to the screen. "East of Eden" certainly is one, as is, of course, the masterpiece, "Grapes of Wrath."
