Oh, how I love the Lady Bugs. I have not seen very many this year but some of them are around. We have another bug right now in great numbers and they are eating everything in the way of green leaves. They are the Japanese beetles. They are to much for the Lady ug larvae to handle.

What a nice summery essay! I too love Lady Bugs--we get an occasional one on my deck on the Texas Coast. How lovely that Shannon started your beautiful bulb garden, and the Lady Bugs too. Carol

Oh Gail, what a wonderful story of Shannon's Lady Bugs. I do hope you're as nutty as I am........talking to them every day. Kathe

Well you might think I was talking to them but it is more like talking to Shannon. Telling her how pretty the flowers are blooming and where the lady bugs are headed today. Thanks Kathe and everybody., Gail

I am a Lady Bug fan, but haven't seen one in a long time. I am afraid they are being gobbled up by the Japanese Beetle, which are abundant around here. BJ

I think I'll have to look into ordering some Ladybugs for my kids. Thanks for sharing.

I didn't know the story about Shannon and the bulbs until you talked about it recently, Mom. And now the ladybug story--brand new to me! It's been a rough year without Shannon and each story is a special gift. Thanks.
