THIS STORY SHEDS NEW LIGHT FOR ME ON THE NIGERIAN PEOPLE.I ENCOUNTER MANY NIGERIANS DURING WHILE BACK HOME IN US,AS A CBP OFFICER.THE INFORMATION I HAVEGOTTENFROM TIS STORY WILL ENABLE ME TO TREAT THEN WITH A NEW RESPECT. I ALSO THINK THAT THIS STORY COVERS ONE OF THE MANY SMALL LOCAL LEDGENDS OF THE US THAT NEED TO BE SHARED. THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL JOB ON THIS.

Many stories from oral histories strech back in time to the beginning of man's time here. Regardless strength of character, sterngth of conviction, moralality, integrity, these traits remain in the majority of people of this planet. Departing from evil seems best to me --personally that is why I'm in Oklahoma this week...nihou ma? wa hunh hou sheshi!

Congratulations, Cher! I wasn't aware of these people until sometime this past year - there was a movie on TV about them. Thank you...

Very good article and so interesting to learn about the legend of Ebo Landing. Cheryl has done an excellent job of research and expressed the historic facts so well.
