I'm glad you are able to love and forgive your father. You are a better son to your father, than I am daughter to mine. I feel the pain in your memories. BJ

It's not easy, BJ, but I have to forgive.
Thank you for responding

Hi Mike,
I wish you could have experienced a loving, giving, wonderful father like I was blessed to have. But maybe going through what you did with your dad made you much stronger and a better father to your own children. Forgiveness takes courage and the ability to leave the past in the past, so I'm glad you are able to forgive your father and learn from his mistakes. You did not repeat them in your own home and family.
Hang in there,
Sandi in FL.

Thanks, Sandi

Both Ginny and I had fathers who treated us bad. Somehow, we both came out of it with great character.
