This story is a favorite of mine, Kath. I could see you doing all this so vividly, thanks to some very good writing. And it did trigger a memory of m first kiss. It was in 3rd grad behind the bookcase in our classroom. A boy named Raymond was the perpetrator and I the innocent victim. (did you buy that?)

Awesome story Kathe - brought back some great memories of my own teen years - those ranch hands were true "Dudes" to be admired. cathy

Oh Kathe, I thought those old memories had died in the attic of my mind, but they came alive and danced before my eyes. My first kiss was from the brother of my uncle's wife. He was from way up in Minnesota and here I was a skinny little kid, shy as a cricket - being kissed by this 'older man'. He was probably four or five years older than I was, but he surely lit my fire. Thanks for the memory. Jo

Either it is different for girls, or there is something wrong with me, for I can't remember for the life of me, my first kiss.

Kathe - As usual, this story was vivid and candid. I'm sure there are many women out there that can most certainly relate to your adventure.

I had to really think to remember my first kiss and when I finally did, I remember why I had forgotten it in the first place. But then I remembered my second kiss. It was so good I married him. Thanks for the memory. Wanda West

Now that one brought back a long forgotten memory. My first kiss was in the coat closet of Mrs. Young's first grade class. After that, we moved to a different school district, but I bumped into that forward young man again when we were older. He wanted to pick up where we left off. I declined. Good one! BJ

Thanx Pam. Oh just something new to try and lessen my grumbles over spinal stenosis where two disks are pinching the sciatic. Works well with some, but not with me, darn it.

Dear Kathe,
LOVE this sweet, romantic story, and of course it made me drift back in time to my first real French kiss at the same age...15. My heart was thumping fast and my mind was racing, but oh! The kiss itself was simply delightful, and from an older boy, too.
Thanks for the way you tell things with such vivid details. How many times did you go back to that ranch during the summers?
Keep up the fine writing,
Sandi in FL.
