This is incredibly sad to read, even though I never knew Georgia. Your love for her shines through in every sentence. I'm glad it was emotionally healing for you to pen these heartfelt words, and I pray that you never have to go through the deep hurt of losing another spouse. God blessed you with Ginny, and even though she didn't replace Georgia, she is a loving mate and just what you needed to make the healing complete.

Dear Michael, I am sitting at work with a lump in my throat the size of Texas and tears streaming down my face. A friend sent me the hug story, and I looked further at more of your writings and am very touched by this story. My dad had a very similar thing happen and ended with life support. It was a difficult thing but I know, like your wife's wishes that he wanted to go with dignity, not hooked up to a machine! Very good writing, sharing of your heart and soul!
