A beautiful story just like the mallard ducks in our mountain lakes. Hours watching a family of waterfowl is never time wasted ... it's the time we feed our souls, and I've been doing a lot of that lately. Thanks, Richard for this special story of family. You do it so well. Kathe

Thank you, Kathie. I love the woods, and up until my stroke, I tented winter and summer. However, I have not been in the woods in eight years since my stroke. Only this past six months has my gait been steady for walking on rough roads, grass, other than flat sidewalks. So this summer I want to tackle a woodsy hike. In my stories I am a participant in the activity which brings me such peace, since I do believe God created the forest and its accessories for mankind's serenity. Richard LP
