Sounded like a lovely evening you both had......
At last year's Kansas Authors Club convention near Fort Riley it was great to see all the military men in thier dress uniforms along w/ their wives at a special dinner. They seemed so young.

Yes, I remember seeing the soldiers having a formal dinner at the time of our KAC meeting. And you're right about them seeming so young, but also strong and committed.

Nancy dear, I'm so glad you posted your evening for all of us to enjoy. It was truly heartwarming and like you, I pray these young heroes return from their duty safely. Thanks for another heads up where the media is concerned. It did my heart good to read the comments from somebody really in the know....Kathe

Oh Nancy-you reinforced my thoughts as I posted Dad's story today. I also am so hurt that we have lost more Canadian troops, one of them just barely nineteen years of age. It would be my thought too to say 'Thank You' to each of them. May God Bless them and keep them safe. It is a duty they have accepted and the utmost admiration of them all, from all countries trying to make peace, and they should be reccommended and thanked.
Great story, so glad you shared it with us!
Bonnie.

Thanks Bonnie. When I came home that evening, I felt truly compelled to sit down and write.

Your evening truly was a blessing. It’s nice to hear a military person say there are good things happening in Iraq. Thank you for sharing. BJ
