Good musings, Carol. And of course, if there are to be pratfalls, gown disasters, and child boondoggles, weddings are often the scene. Kathe

LOVED it! Things only a photographer would take note of. In the future, I'm going to be more observant because of reading this. Your ending was the best.

My sister got her wedding photos back to discover a video camera and tripod (some with photographer) in every single one of her formal portraits.

I just photographed a wedding last month and was amazed at the differences between families. The bride (and family) was eager to be in front of the camera. But the groom (and his family) were reluctant. The end result? There are twice as many photos of the bride.

I absolutely love the photograph with the bride in the mirror. It tells a beautiful story, no words required. Perfection. BJ

Reading your story made me realize that this is the first time I've viewed a wedding or reception from the vantage point of the photographer. You told it well. Have you ever taken a picture of anybody face-down in the punch?! *LOL*
Good writing, Carol.

No, but I attended a wedding once where the flower girl careened into the serving table and knocked the cake over! Carol
