Great story! Mother Nature can always teach us new things. I was a Sunday School teacher & that is what another teacher did when her class graduated up to my class. She would tell me about all her trouble-makers, but I just shut my mind and made them feel as important as the others. Hurrah, no problems. As ever, Gail

Thank you, Jan.
I've always said, "Artists use paint to
create their pictures, writers use words.

Mike, I smell another winner of a story here. Skunks are indeed cute little furry animals, but I ran over one on my way to pick up a friend at the airport once, and the stench on the drive back was so horrible that we couldn't take a deep breath. It literally burned our nostrils. Even after a trip to the drive-thru car wash, there was a faint offensive odor that I'll never forget!
Keep up the delightful writing, Mike.

I'll never forget the Thanksgiving we went outside to help my parents load up their car to go home. Our dog Trooper followed us out & then raced back inside. In a spilt second the whole house of about 20 guests were in an up-roar. Trooper had been sprayed by a skunk in that brief moment he was outside. He raced through the house sharing the smell w/ everyone.

I'm laughing. I know it must have been horrible, but I can't help it. Picturing that poor dog running through the house...lol
