This is a heartbreaker, and the way you have worded it from the vantage point of a little seven year old girl is what makes it so special. Even in their youthful innocence, children sense when things are awry and circumstances have altered their normal routine.

Again, thank you, Sandi in FL. From my 22 years in Social Services, I discovered how much children need to have an audience, and not to be disenfranchised, ie adults too often telling them how to think. Through my stories, and novels, I try to put myself in their place and give them a meaningful voice. RLP
