I loved this story. People don't write to each other like this anymore. I have been trying to get a correspondence going andf have found it slow going.
I woiuld like to submit something in the near future. I think it is an excellent idea.

Hi Scott,
I just love this letter from your uncle to your aunt! It's so chock full of interesting facts and amusing tidbits. It surprised me to know that there were Milky Way candy bars way back when your Uncle Paul was a young kid! The ones he bought for a nickel were probably larger than what we buy now for ten times that amount! Your Aunt Margie's added notes are actually as delightful as the letter itself. I'm so happy that you shared the contents with us readers here at Our Echo so we can savor and relish news about days gone by when the pace of life was slower and more peaceful. Let me take this opportunity, too, to thank you for the fantastic job you do as Editor of this splendid website. Each night I visit here and read to my heart's content!
Blessings,
Sandi in FL.

Hi Scott,

I found this posting this evening. Not sure how I missed it before, but I certainly did enjoy it. The art of letter writing seems to be almost nothing but a memory. People e-mail short notes or text message or phone, but way back (in the good old days), people spent time writing letters. How I wish more of them had been saved. Thanks for sharing this one.
