Oh my! What a way to get your first bra. From one May birthday to another, Happy Birthday. BJ

What a lovely young lady you are pictured here, Nancy...and how honored you always were by being chosen to carry the flowers on May 30th when the classes commemorated the fallen soldiers from your school. You've written about wonderful, simple memories -- the best kind, and I thank you for sharing them with us.

My baby, KT, is a May kid. I've found them to be the exception, rather than the rule, and now I know it's true. Happy Birthday, Nancy! K

Nancy, I can identify with so many things in your beautifully written story. I would have died if I received a bra like that-I was one of those who hid undergarments that I got for Christmas etc. so Dad and my brother wouldn't see them.
As for feeling badly about going with a classmate on Mother's Day, put the guilt away Nancy. We cannot change things and I am sure it is bigger in your mind than it actually was. I am sure you more than compensated for that throughout the years.
Beautful pic-definitely a May child! I also have a brother who has a birthday in May-on the 25th in fact and he is one person I dearly love. Yes, May people are special indeed.
Loved the story, and have gone through many things that remind me of my life as a youth. GREAT JOB!!
Love,
Bonnie.

Thanks Bonnie. You have a way of giving people a real boost with your kind words. That's a gift, and you use it wisely.

Hi Nancy,

What lovely May memories! Well, except the bra incidence, which added a bit of...humor? Well, it is kinda funny, reading about it, although I'm sure it wouldn't be, if it had happened to me.

I really enjoyed your story. And a Very Happy Birthday, Nancy! Does this birthday mean you are catching up with me age-wise? Haha.
Take care!

Renie

Hi Renie,

I'm running fast to catch up to you, but you stay just a tiny bit ahead of me. Thanks for the birthday greeting.

Nancy, I truly enjoyed all your May memories. Some were poignant, some were thoughtful, and one was funny, albeit embarrassing to you! I'll have to keep "abreast" of your stories and see what you will write next to "support" this one. Loved the story, love your heart. ~Maria

Maria,

You are too 'punny' for words.
Love you too,
Nancy

Thanks BJ. I may have to go back and read it again myself! :) Happy May Birthday to you. Has it come and gone, or still to come?
