Grandmothers are wonderful to have in your corner. I had two great ones, and aspire to be like them. This poem is infused with great advice. We should all listen. BJ

How very nice! It's good when grandmothers themselves record some of their stories for some descendant to find in the future.

Hi Veronica,

I have a strong affiliation for grandmothers and I can really relate to this piece of exceptional writing. It touched me because I never knew my grandmother, having only seen her once when I was a teenager (that I can recall) and I know I never took the time to get to know her very well. How I wish I had been more compassionae, asked questions, learned to communicate with her better. Now I struggle to find answers to my questions about her. I made a vow that my grandchild will know his grandmother -- ME -- and will never have to wonder what I was like. He will know. He already does.

Thank you, Veronica, for this reminder.

Your advice in this poem really touches home. I find old photographs at flea markets. It worries me that they are separated from the family where they would mean so much. I stare at the people in those photographs and wonder about their lives.
