Nancy, you have me weeping. This letter was beautiful and your final sentence was so moving it gave me goose bumps. You and your mother obviously had a wonderful relationship which left you with lovely memories.

Hi Nancy,

I have read this before but it brought tears to my eyes yet again. It is a wonderful, heart-felt finale to commemorate the life of you mother. More people need to do this while the parent is still aware and responsive. Thanks for the reminder, and for a poignant letter that I won't soon forget.
Love, Maria

Dear Nancy,

Your letter to your Mom is tender and beautiful. What a rocky early life your Mom had. Not many people write letters any more. Your letter captured the close relationship you were so fortunate to have with you Mom, your champion and friend. Did you keep her letters? I've kept many letters my Mom sent me over the years. No, I did not keep any of my mother's letters. When they came weekly, I never thought about doing so...young and foolish as I was at that time. Isn't hindsight the clearest of all. You are so fortunate to have your mother's poetry to read again and again.

In spite of the miles between mother and daughter, you were able to maintain a close relationship. Mine has been gone for eight years now, yet I still find myself picking up the telephone to call her. I didn't save my mom's letters. Sure wish I had. BJ

I understand how you feel about your mom's letters, oh so well.

My emotions got the best of me, for my mom and I were very close, until her Alzheimer's forced me to be her stranger. I love both of your independent ways and where she taught you to think only positives, for you certainly are a great student of the word still. You seem very much like her. Beautiful letter, Nancy. God Bless, Kath
