Hello Richard, lovely descriptions for I too am a nature lover, living right smack-dab in the center of the Deer Lodge National Forest on a 7000' mountain in Montana. You couldn't pry me away and this is where my husband is scattered. We are now fighting the Pine Beetle that has killed so much of our Lodge Poles. Fortunately I live amongst the Douglas firs, but it's heart sickening to see so much deadly brown amongst the greens. I'd like to know what mother nature has in mind, for it's always said that she has her plan for the betterment of the land. So we shall see if she's thinning, or what! Good work, Richard....Kathe

Thank you Kathe, My writing combines a love of nature with contemporary issues. I have spent so much of my life camping, hiking, snowshoeing, fishing in summer and winter. At least until my stroke, and one day this summer I will tackle a woods trail once more since my walking is less shaky. Nature to me is an opportunity to enjoy God's blessings and we must protect its bounty. RLP
