Funny, my children had a forgetful tooth fairy occasionally, and now my granddaughter has the same problem. Those tooth fairies need to get with it! Enjoyable story. BJ

Oh no! I wasn't aware fairies had so many problems. :-) I just recently heard another cute story along the same lines, too.

Thank you for your comment.

This was a lovely story. So nice to dig up the past for a nugget such as this, eh? Richard LP

Thank you, Richard! I think we all have fond memories of visits from the Tooth Fairy. However, the most I ever remember being under my pillow was MAYBE a quarter.

Good story, Kathy, and well written as is always the case with you. Your writing is a pleasure to read, no matter what the subject. For the record, I'm from the "only a nickel" tooth fairy days.

Thank you, Nancy! Glad you enjoyed the story 'cause I sure enjoyed your remarks. Nickle days, huh? Well, you could buy more for your money then - right?! :-)

I also come from the cheaper fairies of the day of a nickle. Cute story.

I just don't know why the tooth fairy gives up when you are older and lose the teeth :)

I had no idea I was "loaded" when I received a quarter! :-) Guess the old Tooth Fairy goes the way of Santa...if we only knew, we'd have enjoyed them more when we were kids! Thanks for your remarks.

According to my grands and greats, the Tooth Fairy is still a very popular person. However, never could I imagine the kind of currency she hands out in this day and age. This story was absolutely precious and as always, beautifully written. Kath
