Must be great to have interesting ancestors in your family. I think it adds color and excitment to life.

Hey the Daltons robbed banks all over Kansas but I believe it was Coffeyville where they were killed while trying to rob a bank. There is a great museum there that tells all about them. My mother grew up in the panhandle of Oklahoma and had very black hair. I wanted to believe she was part Indian but found out it wasn't true, darn it! Interesting picture. Gail

hi. recently, we purchased an estate that had photos from the'dalton gang'. we were told that they were decendents. i've done a lot of research, and i believe i came to the conclusion that these photos are from your branch of the tree, rather that your outlaw relatives. we were hoping that we had some pictures of the dalton gang brothers in the lot of 5-6 photo albums, but we still have 6-8 photos which didn't have names and look of that nature.

we have photos with the names nannie dalton and lucy dalton which i believed for some time was emmett dalton's (the outlaw) sister nannie, and a lucy which married a dalton. now i believe they are gillam's sister's because there are pictures of gillam dalton, walter dalton, ida dalton, and dave dalton in a book.

the names in these photos are cogers, luttrells, carr, roberts, payne, and so many more.

i should say that we are antique dealers and i don't know why i am writing you. i guess i have been so facinated in trying to figure out which way all the branches go in this big tree. does your family have any existing photos of the brothers of the dalton gang?

if you have any thoughts you would like to share, i would be interested. i do not want to divulge the name from whom i received these. they just had no interest in them and sold them to us, as we buy many old photos. some people just have no interest or believe that photos mean anything. actually, my boyfriend is one of them.

thank you for reading this.
