All my life, I resisted short pants. I just knew I wouldn't like them and wanted nothing to do with them. I certainly wasn't going to wear any in public. My wife tried for years to get me to wear them. Finally, the summer before last, at the age of 71, I found some on sale very cheap. I bought two pairs. I thought, my pants stick to my legs when on the tractor, so maybe shorts will be better for that. Before I knew it, I was wearing shorts all the time - even out in public, and I was enjoying their comfort when compared to long pants. I now wear them until the frost is in the air now, by choice.

You're braver than I (and probably more comfortable). But remember: Don't slide when running the bases.
