Wow, Richard, this is the very first time I've read such vivid details about a stroke, told by a stroke victim himself. Scary as such an incident is, your faith and prayers prevailed, and you lived to relay the facts. You have a lot for which to be thankful.
Take it easy!
Blessings,
Sandi in FL.

Bless you, for your comments. I felt I was a good Christian, until I came face to face with my demise. Then I realized my faith needed an oil change. I got rid of unforgiveness, pray more fervently, overlook many imagined offenses and worked more diligently on my writing. Now I need people to buy them, since my stories, although may not compete with J.K. Rowling, do provide a voice for my characters in dealing with contemporary issues. RLP

You have captured quite a set of events in this article...I've come away from reading it with tremendous gratitude toward God for sparing your life, and I do not even know you personally! You have much to say to all of us with your stories. Prayer is vital, and praise God, your wife was led to pray for you the night of your stroke. God continue to manifest His healing in you, Richard.

Hello Dear Susan, and I thank you so much for your kind comments. Learning to be still and not be so concerned with getting a dozen things done before lunch was my old self. Now I contemplate more, count my blessings, have a deeper faith and more patient with others, plus not being so quick to judge. And I am grateful to God to pursue my writing and enjoy being a new man. Richard LP
