I never get tired of learning of the courage and strength of some of the European people, who compare greatly with those pioneers of our country. It is a pity that so many now, have lost that iron grit they had, because they have had it to easy. Hardship is a great teacher as well as a great incentive.

How nice of Joe to fill in all the empty spaces I was curious about. He is truly a wonder. You did a mag job as always, Nancy. Thanx for another lovely ride about amazing people in our lives. Kath

What a fitting continuation of your first story "Joe's Castle" from a year ago. This one is such a tale of redemption in a most beautiful way. Joe's former life was taken away by the evil of WWII, but he was able, without bitterness, to give back to his native country AND to his adopted country by establishing the scholarship program. Truly a story worth passing on and on. I am so impressed with the way you wrote about this, Nancy...thank you.

Susan,

I have just added photos to "Joe's Castel" so you may want to take a look at them. I don't know why I didn't add them when I wrote it. :) His story is truly an amazing one, isn't it?

Nancy, I just now looked back at your story but cannot see any photos...perhaps it takes a while for them to load or post, or either it's my computer that's acting whacky. I'll definitely keep checking back for I do want to see your pictures. ~ Susan

Susan--are you looking at "Joe's Castle" or at "A True Fairy Tale?" The pictures are at the castle story.
