Your story just triggered a memory of when we visited our cousins we used to play a game called last touch. When the family was headed to the car & our parents were giving their last goodby one of would reach out & touch our cousin saying, "Last Touch!" Then when we weren't looking or least expecting it, someone would return the touch. We did this clear up to the point the car would start to pull away, with everyone then waving goodby.

This story is a favorite of mine, I never get tired of hearing it. It's also a reminder to write those stories down--we always think we will remember them, but with age we all tend to forget unless we have a mind trigger.
I like the suggestion of sending it in for the Chicken Soup Stories. Go for it, I think it would be wonderful story for that.

Oh, Kris, that brings tears to my eyes. Great story.
The Chicken Soup for the Soul publishers are putting out one for adoption stories in June. You should submit this one and the other writing. Look for the guidelines and submission form at http://www.chickensoup.com/

I took the plunge and submitted 2 of my stories to Chicken Soup for the Soul. Thanks for the suggestion.

I decided against this one, because I'm not sure how clear the story would be without the photo.

Kristy, your short but oh, so sweet story and that precious photo made me *S*M*I*L*E*.
I hope you caught that kiss and saved it in a special pocket.
Sincerely,
Sandi in FL.
