Having two boys myself, I can't imagine how difficult this must have been for you. I remember when my children were young; I too would get up at night and check to make sure they were breathing.

Yvonne, I lost a son at age 13, and the emotional pain is gut-wrenching. Only another mother who has had to endure such pain fully comprehends. It's akin to trying to describe what salt tastes like. This excerpt makes me want to read your book, but I know that my tears would spill onto the pages. Someday I intend to read it though.

May God Bless you and your family. I too have lost a child, in 2004, very different circumstances, I am learning now to write to relieve the pain. I am glad you have also written about your loss, the void is tremendous. Your writing is beautiful and heartfelt, thank you for sharing.
