That a dog could survive a jump off a 200 foot bridge, let alone with no more damage than a dislocated hip is miraculous. It is not mentioned whether or not it happened around Christmas time when we learn to expect miracles, but it is a miracle none the less. Thanks for letting us know about one more of God's miracles.

Thanx Fred. No, it didn't happen around Christmas. The ground would have been too hard and I fear the outcome would not have been good. Still as you note - it was a miracle
nonetheless. I followed your directions re inserting pictures. I
wish though it could have been larger for you to see this happy event better.

Henry asked if they found out why
Carter jumped off the bridge. If I ever see Dr. Brian - he has started his own practice after a considerable amount of years at the APL, I'll ask
him. In the meantime - my personal conjecture is that Carter was a young
exploratory type of dog who smelled
something tantalizing on the other side of the bridge and followed his nose. Obviously he had no depth perception whatsover!

Great great story. Never get tired of reading about animals and have already fallen in love with Dr. Brian and Sgt. Carter. Your descriptions are outstanding........Kath

Kath - I wish I could take credit for
the story. The descriptions were basically Dr. Brian's which I "borrowed." However, I consider it paraphrasing. I hope I am right. I certainly want to give credit where credit is due.
