So many memorials we have throughout this world, of heroes and heroines! Selfless people most all, and our kids need to know these stories! Need to know they were real people like Mr. Jones, and like dad and Aunt Carol.

Out of all your beautifully written works, I like this one best, maybe because I'm a WW2 kid and filled with nostalgia. Let's see more......K

I hope to visit this site next summer with my sister. My father died on this flight when I was only 8 days old. I'm so glad many of you have taken an interest in this story on the sacrifice all these men made.

This left me with a deep sense of grief and silence, too. You've described the scene so well that I can picture it, and your photographs portray the stark reality of the crash site and loss of young lives in 1953 when the "Peacemaker" plane hit the granite wall. How tragic that 10 additional lives were lost that same day from the crash of the search plane.
