Laughing at all the memories you've so aptly described! How well I recall both of us rebelling at having to learn to drive a car with a stick shift! We did have some fun times in the little green car though; didn't we?
Just like the better, present day conveniences we now have, your writing also keeps getting better and better, so keep on keeping on!
Love you heaps,
Sandi.

You caused me to smile at the memories we made driving the Vauxhall, "flying over" Thrill Hill at speeds that bring shivers now. Your encouragement regarding my writing is so appreciated, dear Sandi! Love you!

Such sweet memories and so well written with such excitement and clarity!

I've always known microwaves and curling irons, they've been part of my life my entire life but I remember my Grandma's hesitation at the "big box" sitting on her counter, such precious memories...

Truly, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine". (Proverbs 17:22) I am so thankful that many of our memories contain the opportunity for laughter. Michele, thank you for posting your comments here after reading my "musings". Bless you ~ Susan

WOW!!! That is ONLY my FAVORITE scripture verse and has brought me through much sickness, surgeries, and trying, difficult times in my life! Whenever I see someone down and out, I tell them that very verse!

I too thank God for memories bringing joy and you're most welcome for commenting!

Oh my, this will date me! I learned to drive by watching my Dad on way to school each day - An "A Model" Ford.
Slipped the car out one day and could not back up had to go around the block
every time I needed to change. Oh that clutch!! This proves I identified with your story. Love you girl, Hilda

Hilda, what fun it is to think back to simpler times and be able to have lotsa laughs remembering them! You should share your stories in print, too. I look forward to reading them someday. Love ~ Susan

It's amazing what all has changed in the past years. Granny saw it all with living in this world 102 years...and there are many more changes for us to see in the years ahead! Thanks for putting your memories in print. Blessings to you, Mattie
