Dear Veronica,

First of all, it was so very nice to see something from you at OurEcho. It's been awhile. I am always happy to see your work here. Secondly, I thoroughly enjoyed reading about your mother. Your love and admiration for her was evident in the words you wrote. My grandmother (also of Irish descent)did some of the same things your mother did. She ran a boarding house at one time and often took in men who could not pay, often made meals for those who could not pay. Time and again, she did this despite having very little of her own. She was a strong woman who left her husband when she still had one child to raise. She left with no job, went to a large city, and made a life by baking for neighbors and finally opening a neighborhood bakery. So, you see, there are many similarities. I'm looking forward to reading the poems you plan to post. (And maybe some of your own stories, too)

It always amazes me that humble people such as your mother, are the ones who do so much for those without and in need. These are truly God's angels among us, and surely they will be rewarded greatly in heaven.

Hi Veronica,
I enjoyed reading about your Mother and sincerely look forward to reading her poems. She was quite a hard-working lady, and quite pretty, too. I get the impression that she was one of those individuals about whom folks would say, "I'm so glad to know her!"
Blessings,
Sandi in FL.
