This is another of your very excellent essays. As you say, we all have memories of special holidays--great, and not so great.

Your title is so typical of Kansas people. We have to dust everything including memories. Well done Nancy. Gail

One of my holiday memories is of spending a few hours in a closet, during a bombing. But we came out of it alive, so it ended in a grateful prayer. Another one is of not having much, but receiving a gift of the heart, the best gift I could ever have received. Really enjoyed the article, while I dusted off some holiday memories myself.

Happy Thanksgiving, Nancy.

I guess if it wasn't for the holidays from hell we wouldn't appreciate all the beautiful ones. I've been doing a little dusting too...

Until these last few holidays, I have little to dust off. How I do miss my Ken and wish he was here to watch his children's and grandchildren's successes in life as well as being there for multitudes of grandfatherly advice that seems to still work despite the ages. A wonderful and productive dusting, Nancy. God bless you...Kathe
